Current Board Member Profiles:

President - Stacy James
Stacy is a biologist for USGS Columbia Environmental Research Center and Prairie Rivers Network.

Vice President- Alan Journet
Alan teaches ecology and conservation biology at Southeast Missouri State University; conducts research on tropical moist forest restoration in Costa Rica and bottomland hardwood forest management in Missouri (at Big Oak Tree State Park) and was inaugural Vice -President of the Chapter. As experts in conservation and advocates for biodiversity, I feel that we in the Missouri Chapter should offer appropriate comment on local, regional, state-wide, and national issues of conservation concern.

Secretary- Esther Stroh
I have worked as an ecologist for the US Geological Survey for twelve years. My primary research interests include genetics and dynamics of small or isolated plant populations, and plant community ecology. I often feel that government scientists and managers are under represented in the Society for Conservation Biology and in MOSCB. As secretary, I will work to increase MOSCB membership and participation by state and federal researchers and resource managers.

Treasurer- Tracy Rittenhouse
I am currently a graduate student at MU studying the effects of timber harvest of amphibian population persistence. I am most interested in identifying the habitat requirements of amphibians. During the last 3 year as treasurer of MOSCB, we have built the financial resources that we can now sponsor events. I am excited about the opportunity to remain on the board to see that happen..
