Determining the results of a test

To determin the result of a test you must have a critical value from a standard table for the distribution you are using or a number provided by the software you are using.

First on a vertical plot the critical value. The plot the test result on the opposite side of the line.

  • If the value of the test is >= critical value the test is statistically significant.
  • If the value of the test is < critical value the test is not statistically significant.
