Getting Started

Initializing connections

One of the most difficult task is getting all the connections working the first time. We have spent a lot of time make the ongoing reconnection of the system very clean and easy. there are some basic configurations task that are outside the Datalooger software that must be done.

Setting up an ad hoc network

In Datalogger we create a small self contained network between the machine used. The programs can be run over existing network but these are ususally not available in a forest plot location unless you bring a battery operated wireless router. This is not necessary. We simple:

create a ad hoc network.
