Sylvan 2.0 Parameters

Parameters in the Sylvan files are a specific format that can easily be edited by hand. They are also designed to be human readable as well as machine readable. There are a few underlying principles.

  1. Any text or number on a line after a # are ignored and considered a comment.
  2. Input parameters and data can be in one file or multiple files
  3. .
  4. If more that one entry for the same parameter exist the last one is used.

An example of a single parameter is:

species,htgrow=helena85,qupa5,english,cweibull,24.5,1.6,100,10

To explain the basic format of a parameter entry there are two part values before the = sign are labels, values after the = sign are expected values. Only one equal sign is allowed per paramter record.
