Very High Resolution Digital Aerial PhotographyVery High Resolution Digital Aerial Photography is a line of research to explore low cost aerial platforms that can be used to create images in the 4cm to 0.5 cm pixel range. These images are not uses in normal aerial photogrammetry but in a combination low oblique images, vertical images and ground images to create three dimensional models of the trees being photographed. I am interested in the measurement of tree crowns for use in forest growth models (see Sylvan Stand Structure Model) and I am always on the outlook for new and better ways to collect this type of data.
